WHOEVER FINDS GOD
Our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Swerve means "an abrupt change in direction". It's what we're believing to see in many lives in our community. An abrupt change in a life far from God to a growing relationship with him through Jesus.
To reach people no one is reaching we will do things no one is doing.
We can do infinitely more together than apart.
We know that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
We don't simply go to church. we are the church and exist for the world.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
God is creator and sustainer of the universe.
He is Holy, perfect and good.
He is eternally existent.
He has eternally existed in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are coequal and one God.
(Genesis 1:1; Psalm 77:13; Revelation 22:13; Psalm 136:1)
Jesus is the Son of God while being equal with God.
He is the hope of the world.
He was a true historical figure.
He lived a perfect sinless life.
He died a wretched death paying the price we deserved for our sins.
He rose on the third day conquering Satan, sin and death.
He is soon returning.
(Matthew 3:17; Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 14:3; John 14:6)
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
He is the third member of the Trinity.
He is equally God.
He is our comforter, guide, and counselor.
The Holy Spirit equips God's people with gifts in order to advance the gospel and bring glory to the Father.
(John 14:26; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12; John 16:13)
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God's written Word.
It is inerrant.
It was written by human authors divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 5:18; Romans 15:4; Matthew 24:34)
We were made in God's image and likeness.
We are all sinners in desperate need of a Savior.
We are not "good" people but serve a good God who loves and pursues us.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10-12)
Salvation cannot be merited, earned or worked for.
It is a gift given to us by God through the Son Jesus.
We are saved by God's grace alone.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16)
