MISSION

Our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Swerve means "an abrupt change in direction". It's what we're believing to see in many lives in our community. An abrupt change in a life far from God to a growing relationship with him through Jesus.

VALUES

We love God because He first loved us. Our only reasonable response is to live for Him.
We love others as a response of the love we've been demonstrated through Christ. Because of Jesus we are a new family called to love and serve one another.

We serve our neighbors as we model after Christ who did not come to be served, but to serve others. ​We don't simply go to church - We are the church and exist for the world.

WHAT WE BELIEVE


​ABOUT GOD

  • God is creator and sustainer of the universe.
  • He is Holy, perfect and good.
  • He is eternally existent.
  • He has eternally existed in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are coequal and one God.

​ABOUT JESUS

  • Jesus is the Son of God while being equal with God.
  • He is the hope of the world.
  • He was a true historical figure.
  • He lived a perfect sinless life.
  • He died a wretched death paying the price we deserved for our sins.
  • He rose on the third day conquering Satan, sin and death.
  • He is soon returning.

​ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • He is the third member of the Trinity.
  • He is equally God.
  • He is our comforter, guide, and counselor.
  • The Holy Spirit equips God's people with gifts in order to advance the gospel and bring glory to the Father.

​ABOUT THE BIBLE

  • The Bible is God's written Word.
  • It is inerrant.
  • It was written by human authors divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.

​ABOUT PEOPLE

  • We were made in God's image and likeness.
  • We are all sinners in desperate need of a Savior.
  • We are not "good" people but serve a good God who loves and pursues us.

​ABOUT SALVATION

  • Salvation cannot be merited, earned or worked for.
  • It is a gift given to us by God through the Son Jesus.
  • We are saved by God's grace alone.
