His Toy Store is an awesome way to practice our values. As a church we will love God, love people, and serve our community. Participating in this outreach was a great way to do just that. Beyond that, it's great to be able to partner with other churches and ministries such as Living Waters Fellowship. We truly believe we can do far more together than we ever could apart.

We want to say thank you to those of you who faithfully give to Swerve Church. Because of your generosity we are able to participate in outreaches just like this one. Next year we hope to mobilize even more volunteers to be able to serve at an even greater capacity.

Swerve Church is a new church plant forming in the community of Bushwick in Brooklyn.

We have an amazing opportunity to partner with Hope For New York via His Toy Store this Saturday! This is when churches and organizations get together to provide a unique shopping experience for families in need throughout the city. Families can come and shop at no cost. And specifically there will be a store hosted right here in Bushwick!

So this Saturday you can volunteer to help setup the shop and serve the families of Bushwick. Here's the schedule for the day:

11:30AM-12PM - Volunteers Arrive
12:00-12:15PM - Volunteer Orientation
12:15-12:30PM - Divide and Assign Roles
12:30PM-2:00PM - Family Shopping Time!
2:30PM-3:00PM - Food, clean up, depart.

As a church we are passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus and seeking out opportunities to serve our community, Bushwick. What a great way to do just that!

What a phenomenal time at our first gathering of the fall! We gathered at Irving Square Park right here in Bushwick for a time of prayer, encouragement from the Bible, fun and games, and some vision for where we're going.

If you weren't able to make it here are a few of the highlights:

• We celebrated all the opportunities to serve our community this summer.
• There will be some more awesome opportunities to serve this fall including the Halloween Outreach and Operation Christmas Child.
• Gatherings will continue on a weekly basis as we prepare for launch.

We had an incredible time serving our neighbors last week for Bushwick Love Week showing God's love in practical ways. This included block and park cleanups, hanging basketball nets, giving away hundreds of bottled waters, granola bars and even over 350 lunches!

This would not have been possible if not for the hard work of Victory Baptist and First Baptist Great Falls. Thank you so much for following God's leading in serving the people of Bushwick.

Swerve Church is a new church forming in the community of Bushwick in Brooklyn which is in NYC.

We had an awesome time at our Summer Bushwick Basketball Clinic! What a fun time of learning the game of basketball. Children learned how to dribble, shoot, and pass, along with lessons on working hard and good sportsmanship.

We are so grateful to the Longhollow and GenSend teams who helped to make this clinic happen. We are especially grateful to our parents and kids. It could not have been made possible without you! We look forward to providing more opportunities for the beautiful families of Bushwick soon!

It's been a while since we've posted here on the blog. Mostly because we've really hit the summer full steam and head on. So far the summer has been full of opportunities to serve our neighbors and community.

Check out the highlights from the Bushwick CityFest. Though it was a rainy afternoon, that didn't keep people from spending time out at Irving Square Park right here in Bushwick. We had live music, activities for the kids, awesome BMX stunt bikes, and free food!

This Saturday we will be at Irving Square Park right here in Bushwick Brooklyn for CityFest! It will be a fun time of live music, free food, live action sports, and activities for the kids.

Who can you invite? This is a great event to invite you family, friends, and neighbors to. Along with all the great activities the gospel will be shared. We're praying for many people to surrender their lives to Jesus.

You can also come to help us serve. We'll be giving away bottled water and granola bars as a practical way to serve and love on our community. If you want to help, simply look for the blue Swerve Church tent. Well have out flag out as well. What an awesome opportunity to serve our neighbors but also to strike up some conversation with people.

Street 2 Street is a 3-on-3 tournament that takes place throughout NYC every summer. It's a great opportunity for Middle and High Schoolers to compete. At the same time, it is a faith based program which allows time to pray with the athletes and share the gospel.

Well over 100 participants were involved. They received free jerseys, lunch, and water. What a great outreach and opportunity to serve the youth in our neighborhood. Enjoy some of the highlights in the video.
