Swerve Church : Vision

Our vision for planting Swerve Church is to create a life-giving church where we can introduce people to God’s saving grace through Jesus. We also want to be a church that goes beyond the four walls of a building and serves our community in practical ways being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Here are a few reasons why we are focusing our attention on Bushwick:

• Median household income is $28,802
• 32% of the population falls under the poverty line.
• It's the 7th most impoverished neighborhood in NYC.
• 75% of children are born in poverty.

Swerve Church is a new Church Plant coming to the Bushwick / Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. We're committed to the capital "C" church because we know we can do infinitely more together than apart. We will do anything short of sin to reach people far from God because to reach people that no one is reaching, we need to do things that no one is doing. We are a part of NetworkChurches.tv. We hope to launch in April of 2014.
